A crown (or cap) is a covering that encases the entire tooth surface restoring it to its original shape and size. Porcelain crowns are made to match the shape, size, and color or your teeth giving you a natural, long-lasting beautiful smile. Crowns can protect and strengthen tooth structure that cannot be restored with fillings or other types of restorations.In some cases, our doctors can prep and deliver crown restorations in one visit using state of the art CAD/CAM technology. In other cases our doctors create models and have the crowns custom fabricated at a professional dental laboratory to the exact specifications to meet your needs.

This middle aged woman wanted a more youthful smile. She presented with a gummy smile with dark, discolored teeth. We accomplished this result with a combination of crown lengthening and porcelain crowns.

Before: Patient needs Upper Arch Rehabilitation. Presents with Upper Anterior teeth that are stained, incisal edges (tooth edge) are worn down and chipped, and gumline recession is present.

After: Smile restored with placement of 8 Upper All Porcelain Crowns (Caps). Gumline and incisal edges are now uniform. Patient now has longer, better shaped teeth to enhance the smile line and aid in chewing/biting function.
